EPA Failed to Act on Southern California Ozone Plan, Suit Says

The Environmental Protection Agency missed its deadline to act on an ozone pollution plan for Southern California, a suit brought by an environmental justice group claims.

The agency violated the Clean Air Act when it failed to act on the Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance Regulation submitted by the California Air Resource Board last year, the Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice told the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Monday.
