The EPA delayed worker safety controls for at least two industries working with trichloroethylene, according to a notice released on Wednesday.
The notice postpones from June 20 until Aug. 19 worker safety requirements the EPA set in a 2024 rule for the solvent trichloroethylene (TCE). The extension applies to manufacturers of battery separators, which help prevent short circuits, and those making a specialized coating that protects passports and other documents.
