EPA Chief Lee Zeldin Shares View on Climate Change Amid Scrutiny

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin offered a nuanced glimpse Tuesday into his views on climate change, which have faced scrutiny, saying the science isn’t always certain and lamenting the way in which the debate has become politicized.

Zeldin’s remarks are consistent with the position the Environmental Protection Agency has staked out since he took office, but are more refined than what he offered during his January Senate confirmation hearing, when he flatly said he believes climate change “is real” and the federal government must take steps to address it.
