EPA Again Extends Date for Companies’ PFAS Production Reports

The EPA is giving chemical manufacturers and importers of goods made with PFAS more time to submit information about the chemicals they’ve made or imported, but the agency hasn’t set a final deadline for that information.

The Environmental Protection Agency announced a final rule Thursday that would extend a six-month reporting period from starting April 13 to starting Jan. 31, 2027.

But the agency said it may set an earlier reporting deadline in a broader, yet-to-be-finalized rule about the amount of information companies have to report to the agency. The EPA expects to issue that broader final rule later this ...
