The EPA’s clean air advisers hope to meet the December 2020 deadline to review federal air quality limits for ozone and fine airborne particle pollution now that they can use outside experts, the panel’s chairman said Aug. 12.
The agency’s Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee is aiming to complete its reviews in “a timely, efficient and transparent manner using sound, up-to-date science,” the chairman, Tony Cox Jr., told Bloomberg Environment. “I believe that the use of expert consultants will help us to meet those goals,”
