Environmental Groups Sue EPA for Greenlighting Dicamba Herbicide

Environmental and health advocates sued the Trump administration Friday over the Environmental Protection Agency’s recent reapproval of dicamba-based weedkillers, whose use has been twice-banned by federal courts.

The Center for Biological Diversity and other groups petitioned the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to block the EPA’s decision and review whether allowing dicamba back on the market violated the court’s 2020 ruling vacating the herbicide’s approval.
