Environmental groups petitioned the Fifth Circuit Thursday to review Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality permits granted for a project that will export natural gas.
The Natural Gas Act suit seeks to “hold LDEQ accountable for issuing short-sighted and flawed permits that violate the Clean Air Act and put Louisiana residents at risk,” the Louisiana Bucket Brigade, Sierra Club, and Environmental Integrity Project said in a statement. The unstamped petition for review was filed in the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
