Enphase Surges With Tax Deadline Driving Rooftop Solar Sales (1)

Shares of Enphase Energy Inc. surged the most in more than five years after the solar-equipment supplier said that the looming expiration of federal tax credits for clean electricity investments is boosting consumer demand.

Sales in the second and third quarters should climb, driven by a rush of orders before a July 2026 deadline for companies to claim a tax credit for leasing rooftop panels, Chief Executive Officer Badri Kothandaraman said in an interview. Higher utility bills, lower interest rates and new alternative financing structures for solar systems will all combine to help spur demand, he said.
