A nuclear engineer charged with illegally conspiring to develop and produce nuclear materials in China was sentenced to two years in prison, the FBI announced.
Szuhsiung Ho, also known as Allen Ho, 66, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Taiwan, pleaded guilty in January to unlawfully engaging or participating in the production or development of special nuclear material outside the U.S., without authorization from the Energy Department, which is a violation of the Atomic Energy Act, according to an Aug. 31 FBI statement.
