Energy Trader Buffalo Bayou Hires Monkam to Lead Macro Strategy

Buffalo Bayou Commodities hired Frank Monkam to lead macro trading strategy as the Houston-based firm expands beyond energy.

Monkam is starting with Buffalo Bayou in mid-December and will split time between Houston and Washington, DC, according to a company statement. He’s joining from commodity-trading firm Antimo LLC, where he was a senior portfolio manager for the past year. Before that, he had a six-year stint at Gunvor Group in Geneva and spent three years with Vitol Group, according to his LinkedIn profile.
