ROME—Enel Green Power SpA, the renewable energy subsidiary of former state utility Enel SpA, will begin trading on Milan’s Italian Stock Exchange April 19, market regulator Consob said.
Enel Green will be the first publicly traded company in Italy that focuses exclusively on renewable energy production. The company also will be listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange starting in May, the company said.
Enel Green operates some 11,000 renewable energy projects in a variety of sizes. In 2009, about 40 percent of its production came from solar generating and about 25 percent from wind facilities, mostly offshore. Enel Green has ...
