Enbridge Pipeline May Proceed Despite Oil Spill Worries (1)

The Army Corps of Engineers adequately considered the potential of oil spills when it approved a plan by Enbridge Energy LP to replace a pipeline, a Washington, D.C., court said in denying an attempt to block construction on the project.

Environmental groups and tribes aren’t likely to succeed in their claims that the Corps’ analysis was faulty under the National Environmental Policy Act and the Clean Water Act, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled Sunday.
