Edison CEO Calls Steyer’s Anti-Utility Message ‘Unfortunate’

Edison International Chief Executive Officer Pedro Pizarro pushed back against California governor candidate Tom Steyer’s call to lower rates by breaking up utility monopolies, calling it “decoupled from fact.”

“Tom, as part of his campaign, decided to have a very anti-utility message, which is unfortunate,” Pizarro said during a Bloomberg Television interview at the Edison Electric Institute convention in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
