Edison, Galp Plea to Regulator in Venture Global LNG Dispute (2)

Italian power company Edison SPA and Portuguese energy firm Galp are the latest customers of Venture Global to appeal to US regulators to be allowed to weigh in on a dispute over the company’s LNG export terminal in Louisiana.

In a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission made available Thursday, Edison asked FERC not to take any action on Venture Global’s permit extension request for the Calcasieu Pass plant until the utility company provides more input on the filing. The move follows similar requests from BP Plc., Shell Plc. and Spanish energy company Repsol.
