ECOS Names Alexandra Dunn to Serve As Executive Director, General Counsel

The Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) announced Feb. 19 that it has named Alexandra Dunn to serve as the council’s executive director and general counsel.

Dunn, currently the executive director and general counsel for the Association of Clean Water Administrators (ACWA), would take up the ECOS post in April, representing state and territorial environmental commissioners across the nation.

Dunn would replace R. Steven Brown, who retired from his post in October 2013 after serving for 17 years. Until Dunn was named, ECOS Deputy Director Carolyn Hansom served as acting executive director.
