The US Fish and Wildlife Service failed to issue a timely finding for an earless lizard to be listed under the Endangered Species Act, an environmental group said.
The Bornean earless monitor lizard is “gravely imperiled” and in demand for the international pet trade due to its unusual dragon-like appearance, the Center for Biological Diversity told the US District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday.
