DuPont to Pay $3 Million Over Texas Plant Pollution Claims (2)

E.I. Du Pont de Nemours and Co. will pay more than $3 million to settle claims that it failed to comply with federal and state laws regulating hazardous air pollutants and waste at its La Porte, Texas, plant, according to a filing in the Southern District of Texas.

Texas and the federal government say the company violated the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and relevant state laws.
