DuPont now faces 30 individual personal injury claims related to the discharge of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) from a plant near Parkersburg, W.Va. after four complaints were filed alleging the company negligently discharged the chemical and contaminated the local drinking water supply (Lowers v. DuPont; Martin v. DuPont; Frum v. DuPont; McClain v. DuPont).
