New Jersey can proceed with most claims intact in its contamination lawsuit against
The state’s claims for natural resource damages done to groundwater aren’t barred by a consent order, according to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Under the order, E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. was required to pay the state Department of Environmental Protection $500,000 for “injuries to ground water,” the filing says.
