DuPont, Chemours Chastised by UN Advisers for PFAS Pollution (1)

PFAS releases from DuPont’s and Chemours’ North Carolina factory ignored the rights and well-being of residents along the state’s lower Cape Fear River, UN human rights advisers said on Wednesday.

Both companies had information about the toxic impacts of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on human health and drinking water, yet they continued to produce and discharge PFAS, nine independent human rights experts who voluntarily serve the United Nations said in a statement.
