Organizations that don’t typically comment on the EPA’s chemical analyses are among the many groups objecting to a draft formaldehyde evaluation that concludes the widely used chemical is so risky its commercial uses would have to be restricted.
Environmental and scientific groups that often support the Biden administration’s general oversight of chemicals blasted the formaldehyde risk evaluation that the Environmental Protection Agency’s chemicals office drafted for failing to use the best available science required by law and making unsupported scientific assumptions.
