New Jersey officials won their bid to get their case against Dow Chemical Co. and other companies moved to state court over synthetic industrial chemicals contaminating natural resources, including groundwater and waterways.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and state attorney general sued Dow, Vdbrantz Corp., Legacy Vulcan LLC, and others for allegedly violating the state Spill Compensation and Control Act and state Consumer Fraud Act.
