DOE Approval of Alaska LNG Exports Survives Climate Challenge

The Alaska LNG Project LLC maintained its non free-trade export license from the Department of Energy after a federal appeals court upheld the authorization Tuesday.

The agency sufficiently considered the potential environmental impacts of natural gas being shipped from the Kanai Peninsula when it approved non free-trade exports for the project, the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled.
