Dispute on Strategy to Resolve PFAS Injury Claims Sent to Judge

A requested strategy to resolve disputes over whether exposure to PFAS caused certain cancers and other diseases offers insight into how plaintiffs seek to reduce complications and expenses that are part of multidistrict toxic tort cases.

The Plaintiffs Executive Committee, which represents individuals making personal injury claims about illnesses they say resulted from their exposure to a type of fire suppressant that contained per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), submitted on Tuesday a letter-brief to Judge Richard M. Gergel with the US District Court for District of South Carolina.
