Stars of the reality television show “Diesel Brothers” won their bid to reduce a penalty for emissions cheating by $225,000, according to a federal judge who was ordered by the Tenth Circuit to reassess the penalty.
The owners of B&W Auto LLC, also known as Sparks Motors, will now pay a $113,700 fine for tampering violations under Utah’s State Implementation Plan of the Clean Air Act, after a $25,000 reduction—in addition to penalties for other related violations. The owners of Diesel Power Gear LLC will now pay $27,546 for defeat part marketing violations, after a nearly $200,000 reduction.
