Denver’s Upcoming Natural Gas Restrictions Cleared From Lawsuit

An environmental group partially cut down several business associations’ challenge to Denver’s ordinances restricting natural gas appliances, as a federal judge ruled several of the restrictions aren’t ripe for review.

The Sierra Club on Tuesday won dismissal of claims against the 2025 and 2027 energy performance standards proposed by the municipality in connection with the ordinances, as these standards have yet to be incorporated into Denver’s Energy Code, according to an order issued by the US District Court for the District of Colorado.
