The air quality over Denver was the second worst on Earth on Friday as smoke and soot from Canada’s wildfires descended over the US West, based on data from the website IQAir.
Downtown Denver has reeked of smoke since early morning and officials are advising people to remain indoors. The Colorado cities of Boulder, Fort Collins and Greeley also reported foul air.
