Denka Performance Elastomer LLC wants EPA’s carcinogenic chemical regulations frozen while litigation proceeds, according to an emergency request filed on Tuesday.
The Louisiana chemical company sued the Environmental Protection Agency on May 16 in US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit over new standards that govern the synthetic organic chemical manufacturing industry in Louisiana, Texas, the Ohio River Valley, and in the upper South.
