Democrats Send $1.5 Trillion Infrastructure Bill to House Floor

The House Rules Committee on Monday approved for floor consideration several energy and environment amendments to the $1.5 trillion infrastructure package, including those related to strengthening the clean energy sector, reducing vehicle emissions, and boosting resources for environmental justice communities.

The panel voted 8-4 for a structured rule for the Moving Forward Act (H.R. 2) that included 171 amendments for debate, most of them grouped “en bloc.” That means many of them won’t receive individual votes.
