Delaware Joins the Fray in Climate Litigation Against Big Oil

Local and state lawsuits against Big Oil over climate change continue to accumulate, with Delaware the latest to join the fray.

API Targeted: Attorney General Kathy Jennings (D) announced the lawsuit Thursday, targeting Exxon Mobil Corp., Chevron Corp., and other oil giants. Delaware is the third jurisdiction, alongside Hoboken and Minnesota, to specifically name the American Petroleum Institute, the industry’s biggest trade group.
