Cyrq Energy Skips Geothermal ‘Moonshot’ in Washington Auction

A company seeking a geothermal energy “moonshot” on the slopes of Mt. Baker in Washington state didn’t bid on the two leases up for auction in a federal geothermal lease sale.

Cyrq Energy Inc. chose not to bid on the leases because news reports about the company’s interests at Mt. Baker “made it difficult for us,” said Susan Petty, the company’s chief technology officer.
