Valve maker Crane Co. and Warren Pumps LLC won dismissal of claims by the estate of a sailor who allegedly contracted mesothelioma from exposure to asbestos while working on board a Navy ship.
The estate failed to show that Bobby Davis was exposed to asbestos-containing components supplied by either of the two companies while working as a fireman and boilerman aboard the USS Wilson, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said (Davis v. Air & Liquid Sys. Corp., 2017 BL 404857, D. Ariz., No. 14-CV-02288, 11/9/17).
