A Consumer Product Safety Commission panel appointed to study the effects on children’s health of phthalates and phthalate alternatives in toys and child care articles plans to take stock of its progress at a March 30-31 meeting, the agency said in a March 15 Federal Register notice.
The two-day meeting of the Chronic Hazard Advisory Panel (CHAP) on phthalates and phthalate substitutes, the panel’s fourth meeting, will include discussion of the CHAP’s progress toward its analysis of potential risks from phthalates and phthalate substitutes and will take place at the commission’s headquarters in Bethesda, Md., the announcement said (
