Court Pauses PFAS Drinking Water Limits Lawsuit at EPA’s Request

A federal circuit court has paused a lawsuit challenging drinking water limits for PFAS that the EPA set last year.

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on Feb. 7 paused until April 8 the American Water Works Association’s case against the enforceable limits the Environmental Protection Agency set for six per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

The EPA requested the 60-day pause to give its new leadership more time to familiarize itself with the issues presented in the drinking water and related litigation. No party would be injured by a delay as oral arguments haven’t been ...
