Court Dismisses New Jersey’s Claims Of MTBE Contamination by Chevron USA

New Jersey cannot pursue its claims that Chevron USA’s use and handling of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) has contaminated or threatened to contaminate groundwater at a service center because it failed to allege Chevron supplied gasoline there (In re Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE) Prods. Liab. Litig., 2014 BL 32829).
