Court Dismisses Lawsuit Alleging Fracking Contaminated Private Property in Colorado

DENVER—A Colorado District Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit alleging Antero Resources Corp. and two other companies caused contamination of a private property by using hydraulic fracturing in natural gas wells (Strudley v. Antero Resources Corp.).

Judge Ann B. Frick of the 2nd Judicial District, Denver County, May 9 dismissed the lawsuit by William G. Strudley and his family, who sued Antero, Calfrac Well Services, and Frontier Drilling for negligence, nuisance, strict liability, trespass, and medical monitoring.
