Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. will stop using receipts coated with hormone disruptors by the end of the year, the retailer told environmental campaigners.
The announcement comes after advocacy groups made a public call in August urging companies to stop using paper containing bisphenol A and bisphenol S.
The two toxic chemicals have been linked with multiple health effects, including cancer, and have been banned from some products.
