The question of whether California-based Corona Clay Co. violated the terms of its water pollution permit will return to a lower court after the Ninth Circuit denied the company’s petition for a rehearing Friday.
Inland Empire Waterkeeper and Orange County Coastkeeper sued Corona Clay alleging it illegally polluted waters and failed to monitor the pollution. The company also violated the terms of its federal water pollution permit by failing to submit required reports, the lawsuit alleges.
