Constellation Sues WM Unit Over $3.8 Million in Renewable Credits

Constellation Energy Generation LLC sued a Waste Management Inc. unit in federal court alleging it failed to sell renewable energy certificates due under contract worth at least $3.8 million.

WM Renewables failed to comply with its agreements with Constellation because from October 2022 through March 2023 it didn’t provide the renewable energy certificates that Constellation paid for, according to the complaint filed Tuesday with the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
