Constellation Energy Recieved Waiver to Import Russian Uranium

Constellation Energy received an Energy Department waiver to import enriched uranium from Russia through 2025, according to a person familiar with the matter.

  • Overall, the department has about 5 additional waiver requests pending, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing information that hasn’t been made public
  • The Energy Department and Constellation didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment
  • The agency in July granted a waiver request to Centrus Energy Corp.
