Competing Solar Panel Manufacturers End Texas Patent Dispute

Solar panel manufacturers Maxeon Solar Pte. and a Reliance Industries Ltd. unit resolved a patent infringement dispute in Texas.

Maxeon and REC Solar Holdings AS agreed to dismiss without prejudice allegations concerning US Patent Nos. 8,222,516, 8,878,053, and 11,251,315, according to a joint motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Maxeon, a unit of Maxeon Solar Technologies Ltd., and REC Solar said each party will cover their own attorneys’ fees, expenses, and costs.
