Companies Balk at EPA’s PFAS Data Plan That States Say They Need

Companies such as Honeywell International Inc. and Carrier Corp. say it’s not feasible to comply with an EPA rule that proposes to collect 10 years of data on PFAS that’s produced, imported, and found in computers, forklifts, wires, and other goods.

“It will be difficult, if not impossible, to gather use history for chemicals in articles,” Carrier, an air-conditioning manufacturer, told the Environmental Protection Agency in recent comments about the proposal.
