Antidumping duty rates imposed by the Commerce Department in 2012 on some solar products from China would be lowered if Commerce affirms preliminary findings in a recent administrative review.
The Coalition for Affordable Energy (CASE)on Jan. 5 welcomed the proposed lower antidumping duty rate as “a step in the right direction for the U.S. solar industry.” But Mukesh Dulani, president of SolarWorld Americas, said in an e-mailed statement that preliminary findings don’t reflect the actual amount of dumping by Chinese producers. SolarWorld was the petitioner in the case.
