Colorado Water Company to Pay $2.68 Million for Pipeline Break

A Colorado water supply company agreed to pay $2.68 million to cover response costs from a ruptured pipeline that caused significant damage to the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Water Supply & Storage Co. agreed to settle a suit brought by the US government over failed maintenance of the culvert system in the Grand River Ditch, according to the proposed consent decree filed in the US District Court for the District of Colorado on Dec. 6.
