A Colorado dam expansion was put on hold by a federal court that ruled the US Army Corps of Engineers’ environmental review underlying its grant of a Clean Water Act permit included unsupported analysis and serious deficiencies.
The Sierra Club, Save the Colorado, and other environmental groups convinced the US District Court for the District of Colorado to vacate and remand the agency’s final environmental impact statement and dredge-and-fill permit for the expansion of the Gross Dam and Reservoir.
