Coca-Cola Gets ‘100% Recyclable’ False-Ad Suit Tossed (Correct)

Focusing on the “able” in “recyclable,” a federal judge dismissed, for now, a proposed class suit against Coca-Cola Co. and others over allegedly deceptive marketing of single-use water bottles.

The Sierra Club and three consumers challenged the “100% recyclable” labels on Coke, Blue Triton Brands Inc., and Niagara Bottling LLC products. Most bottles end up in landfills or incinerators because of limited recycling capacity and a lack of demand for recycled plastics, they said.
