Climate Order to Agencies Releases Draft Roadmap for Contractors

Contractors have a new set of requirements to incorporate when selling to government agencies, following President Joe Biden’s Dec. 8 climate-focused executive order.

Sweeping changes to procurement targeted by the White House will affect scoring of annual sustainability plans, net-zero emissions in the federal supply chain, and prioritization of products that are free of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Overall, Biden is aiming for zero-emissions federal government buildings and vehicles by 2045.
