The Senate should confirm Willie Phillips “as soon as possible” to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, according to a coalition of 25 groups whose advocacy spans clean energy, natural gas, oil pipelines, corporate interests and organized labor.
“FERC works best when it acts based on the experiences and perspectives of five commissioners to provide the regulatory certainty necessary for investment in America’s energy infrastructure,” the organizations wrote in a Wednesday letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
