U.S. clean energy job losses continued rising in May, with 620,590 jobs lost since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, though the pace of layoffs slowed considerably, according to an analysis of federal labor data released Monday.

Clean energy has been hard hit by economic shocks related to the pandemic on the heels of robust job growth in 2019, when total sector employment totaled roughly 3.4 million.
