China’s State Grid Says Power Trading Will Speed Green Energy

Factories buying green electricity will help fund wind and solar developments needed for China to meet its climate commitments, according to the country’s largest grid operator.

State Grid Corp. of China plans to establish one or two regional power price points in each of the 27 provinces it operates in and clear transmissions hurdles within its network to help boost electricity trading, researchers from the utility said at an event on Sunday in Beijing.
